Allicorn's Image Retargetter

This page demonstrates the unique DynamicScaledImage facility of Allicorn's Image Retargetter. Just load up your original image, analyse and fine-tune the seams then hit Export for the web - the program produces a web-ready applet and a sample block of HTML ready for you to drop directly into any web page. The DynamicScaledImage can be set to automatically reshape itself to fit either the width or height of whatever part of your page design you drop it into.

Shown below is a DynamicScaledImage exported by the Image Retargetter. Once you've loaded up and analysed your original image, the program can export a web-ready applet that you can just drop into any web page to acheive this effect. The image will always fill the width of the container you put it into (in this case, the whole screen).

Shown below is the same picture as a regular HTML image tag. Try resizing your browser window some more and see how badly it distorts. There really is no convenient way to have an image that always fills the width of its container on a webpage without it ending up badly distorted on some users' screens.
